Johnny has owned and operated his business full time since 1989. Johnny started the business because of the love and passion of working with wood and his hands. He also knew from experience that there were a certain percentage of people that liked small wooden limited edition pieces. Those people wanted something that they could say with confidence was special, that thousands or even hundreds of other people didn't have. That trend is on the up rise and just keeps growing.

He specializes in all natural solid wood limited edition and commissioned/custom made creations such as desk sets, jewelry & music keepsake boxes, cigar humidors, pen sets, letter openers, collectors small pen showcases, collector's gun showcases {boxes}, home decor items such as fireplace mantels, small tables, small cabinets, drink coasters, lamp bases and tissue box holders.

He donates 1 1/2% of your purchase to the National Arbor Day Foundation to plant new trees, 1 1/2% to the Rainforest Alliance to help preserve the rainforests and 3% from each sale of any item made from Empress wood to World Tree Technologies toward the continuation of their work in utilizing the Empress tree for the improvement and beautification of our environment.

The wood that Johnny normally uses includes unique native American woods, wood that comes from managed forests, tree plantations, rediscovered wood or woods that are endorsed by the Rainforest Alliance.

His focus is on remaining environmentally conscientious while creating and handcrafting unique, beautiful, functional all natural solid wood limited edition or commissioned custom made pieces that can be shown proudly, provide the possessor with a conversation piece, many compliments, countless years of service, enjoyment, pleasure and be an heirloom that will be passed down from generation to generation that apprises in value as the years and decades pass.

All his heart & soul goes into each piece! The wood is left natural, no dyes, stains, paints or wood fillers are used. The wood for each and every one of his creations, he always selects for its grain, figure patterns {reading the wood} color and how much it moves {expands and contracts} with temperature & humidity changes.

Johnny handcoats each piece with a clear exterior marine grade polyurethane finish with ultraviolet inhibitors added to it. He has several unique materials that he sometimes incorporates into his designs such as stained glass, leather, solid 14kt and 18kt gold embossed banding.

Johnny signs, dates and numbers each piece {small items on the certificate.} Also each comes with wood data, a brief artists profile, Certificate of Genuineness and elegant folder to hold and keep your documents safe.

He also welcomes commission/custom made orders. Some of his pieces he has donated to charities and worthy causes for them to raffle or auction off.

I have a wood collection I periodically take to schools and shop classes. Each piece is 3" x 6" x 1/2" specification size {International Wood Collectors Society}. I have cut each one from a larger piece of lumber and finished them.
