Each single handgun/pistol box/case has its own custom cut 1/2" thick foam insert with velvet lined top to fit the contour/profile of your make and model. It sits on top of a 1/2" thick foam insert with velvet lined top. Several colors of velvet to choose from.

You can trace the contour/profile on a piece of blank {such as typing} 8 1/2" x 11" paper with a black felt tip pen along with the widest measurement {left to right} and the widest measurement {back to front}, then either fax it or mail it to me. I then cut it out and use it as a template to mark the foam.

For example, the custom made single handgun/pistol boxes/cases {below} have outside dimensions of 11 1/2" long x 9 5/8" wide x 3" high. Having 1/2" thick sides makes the inside measurements 11" long x 9 1/8" wide x 2 1/4" high, made from Walnut, Cherry, Maple, Oak, Ash or Birch, left natural {unstained} no engraving with hinges shown would cost $150.

The box lid is a solid 7/16" thick piece of wood and the bottom of the box has non skid vinyl rubber dots affixed to it to keep it from moving around and to protect any surfaces it is placed on.

As far as the decorative cuts on the outside perimeter, outside and inside of the lid, those will differ, no two boxes cases will ever be alike.

I apply 3 finish coats of clear marine grade polyurethane spar varnish which is impervious to most liquids including body oils and some mild acids.

Average engraving {3 - 20} letters 1" tall is $20.00 extra. A lock is $20.00 extra {photo below}. It is a full mortise lock and the only parts visible are the top, bottom plates and the escutcheon on the front. A pair of solid bright brass 95 degree stop hinges is $20.00 extra {photo below} which when lid is opened stops it and holds it open at of coarse 95 degrees. Note: When the full mortise lock or the solid bright brass 95 degree stop hinges are used I make the sides of the box 3/4" thick.

Also available are solid brass glossy plates {photo below}. Dimensions are 3/4" wide x 3" long x 1/32" thick. You can choose from round, square or notched corners. The price is $20.00 and includes up to 3 lines. Various other sizes are available.

Custom & special made orders are scheduled and with my current demand for orders, it will be approximately 4 weeks from the date the down payment {retainer} on the order is made, before I will be able to start making the piece/pieces.

Custom & special made orders will not be scheduled until the down payment {retainer} has been made.

The way I work custom made or commissioned orders are, I receive 1/2 the total cost as a deposit {retainer} up front and receive the remaining 1/2 when you receive it. Before I ship, if client wants I can take photos of the piece/pieces with my digital camera and send an e-mail with JPEG images attached. When I ship it, I e-mail the client a shipping confirmation number.

For the deposit {retainer} and down payment, I accept personal/company checks, cashiers checks and money orders.

With personal/company checks, cashiers checks or money orders the deposit {retainer} payment is expected to be received within 7 days of accepting the quote. Once payment is received, a receipt will be sent by e-mail.

The remaining 1/2 is expected within 7 days after receiving it. Once payment is received, a receipt will be sent by e-mail.

If after receiving your order, you do not like it, I will refund your total amount and the piece or pieces are mine to do with as I wish! I will pay the shipping back to me by UPS ground.

In the 25 years that I have created and handcrafted wood pieces, I have had a minute number that have broken, either by normal usage or by accident. The pieces that have broken, I have fixed either at no charge or for a minimal charge.

Wood is warranted forever, with the following exceptions, exposure to water, high humidity, extreme dryness {low humidity}, direct sunlight and extreme temperatures {below 32 degrees Fahrenheit or above 100 degrees Fahrenheit for extended periods of time}.
